LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, September 26, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Toni L. Rash of Gloucester, appealing a General District Court bond decision, bond was again denied.
In the case of Sean M. Williams of Richmond, charged with a felony for eluding/disregarding police and misdemeanors for driving with a suspended license and reckless driving, a trial was scheduled for November 14.
In the case of Richard A. Rose of Weems, previously given a deferred disposition for obtaining drugs by fraud, the charge was dismissed.
Edward F. Moriarity of Heathsville was found guilty of a misdemeanor for DWI, first offense. He was given a 90-day suspended sentence, fined $250 and ordered to pay $316 in court costs. His driver’s license also was suspended for 12 months.
Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
