Wildlife 911 Northern Neck is turning two.
What started as an eagle being dropped off on the front porch of a retired wildlife rehabilitator has turned into an amazing organization of over 1800 members that has helped rescue over 600 injured and orphaned wild animals in the Northern Neck and beyond, reported founder and president Kimberly S. Manthy.
“Everyone is a part of this, from the people who find the animals and call us, the transporters, the rehabbers, the wildlife veterinarians, law enforcement officers and the generous donors who make this all possible,” said Manthy.
To celebrate this anniversary, Wildlife 911 will hold a birthday party at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, at Lancaster Community Library….
