On Stage
The Nashville-based Americana band, South for Winter, will light up the stage at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock, on Saturday, November 15. The On Stage show, hosted by the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts (RFA), will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Potluck
Bluff Point Community League will host a potluck dinner on Monday, November 17, at 2595 Bluff Point Road, Kilmarnock. Social time will begin at 6 p.m., dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to bring a dish to share.
Paul Welch is the after-dinner speaker. He will talk about his family’s tomato cannery business and the economic impact of canneries in the Northern Neck.
Holiday play
The Westmoreland Players, 16217 Richmond Road, Callao, will present “It’s a Wonderful Life” by James Rodgers. Shows will be staged at 7:30 p.m. November 21, 22, 28, 29 and December 5, and 3 p.m. November 23, 30 and December 6 and 7.

History gala
The Northern Neck of Virginia Historical Society will present Northern Neck History on the Half-Shell from 2-5 p.m. November 22, at Ingleside Vineyards, 5872 Leedstown Road, Oak Grove. The gala will offer oysters, beef brisket, fried chicken, side dishes, music by the Tylor Nichols Band, raffles and a silent auction.

Island holidays
Gwynn’s Island Museum and Civic Center, 1775 Old Ferry Road, Gwynn, will host Christmas Comes to Gwynn’s Island from 1-5 p.m. November 22.
The free family event will offer music, crafts, wreath raffles, ornaments, homemade treats, hot cocoa and cider. There will be opportunities to write letters and take photos with Santa.
Christmas show
Kilmarnock Museum will sponsor a bus trip to the Old Dominion Barn Dance Christmas Show December 13, featuring Ronnie McDowell. The bus will depart from Chesapeake Commons in Kilmarnock at 11:30 a.m. The $140 fee covers roundtrip fare, show tickets and snacks on the bus.

Christmas Town
Palestine Lodge #100, 1434 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock, will host Christmas Town at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 7, for ages 1-14. The free event will include music, games, hot chocolate, refreshments, toys, purchased photos with Santa and The Grinch.
Holiday Pops
The Northern Neck Orchestra will present Holiday Pops from 7:30-9:30 p.m. December 20 at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. The concert will include Christmas carols, popular tunes and classical favorites.
Admission is by season subscription or advance tickets, $40. Tickets may be purchased at northernneckorchestra.org. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Students will be admitted free with an online reservation.
Post 86
American Legion Adams Post 86 meets at 5 p.m. on third Tuesdays at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.
Rotary meetings
The Northern Neck Rotary Club meets at 7:30 a.m. on second and fourth Wednesdays at River Counties Community Foundation, 834 Rappahannock Drive, White Stone. Those interested in the speaker topics or Rotary are welcome.
