Northumberland Public Library (NPL), 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, recently announced its December events calendar.
Throughout the month, patrons may enjoy free cookies, coffee and hot cocoa compliments of the library staff and volunteers, reported library director Jane Blue.
The Friends of NPL along with Northumberland County will sponsor a tree lighting and carol sing at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, December 6, in front of the Old Court House, 72 Monument Place, Heathsville, said Blue.
At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, the String Orchestra for Northern Neck Youth (SONNY) will present a free “Sounds of the Season” concert at NPL, featuring the String Crewe Academy students as well, said Blue. A reception with hot beverages and cookies will follow.
