Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, William Garner Allen and Peggy Louise Allen.

He is survived by his three children, Shannon Allen Dawson (Ryan) of Spanish Fort, Ala., Ronald William Allen (Lindsay) of Stafford and Shelly Allen Ghun (Young) of Greenville, S.C.; six grandchildren, McKynzi Dawson, Brieghton Dawson, Lilly Allen, Grayden Brown, Jason Brown and Henry Ghun; brothers, “Billy” William Alfred Allen (Mary) of Newport News and Mark Steven Allen (Jackie) of Lewisetta; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronnie was a 1972 graduate of Osbourn High School in Manassas, where he was active in football, track and the band. As a commercial superintendent, he worked for several companies over the years, Miller and Long, ECCI Construction Company, Norwood, Donohoe, Westport and Venture. He had his hand at remodeling James Madison’s Montpelier, Fairfax Courthouse, Point of Rocks Train Station, Smoketown Plaza, along with many banks and restaurants.

As a young boy Ronnie spent his summers at “The River” at his grandmother’s, Mary Garner Allen’s waterfront property in Lewisetta. He finally moved to “The River” a place he dearly loved. A true outdoorsman, his love for the outdoors extended far beyond the water and he was never happier than during duck and goose hunting seasons. As seasons shifted, football became the highlight especially his love for the Dallas Cowboys.

Those who knew him will remember his easy laugh, bright smile and the way he made every adventure feel like a memory worth keeping.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026 for family and friends.
