The Grace Church Yard Sale (GYS) is celebrating more than 37 years of “neighbors helping neighbors,” marking a legacy of community generosity, volunteerism and impact that has returned over $1.7 million to the Northern Neck through grants, partnerships and direct support.
“We are now more than five and a half years into year-round operations, after 32 years as a one-day sale, and it’s humbling to look back on 37 years of blessed abundance—from donations and shoppers to volunteers and partners,” said coordinator Lucia Schoelwer. “Together, the GYS has now returned more than $1.7 million to the Northern Neck community.”
