
According to teacher Jill Lottes, fifth graders at Lancaster Elementary School (LES) made their first attempt at earning their pen license in December, a recognition of mastery in both manuscript (print) and cursive handwriting and being able to sign their full names in cursive, all of which are SOL requirements for fifth grade.
As an incentive toward this goal, students are eligible to sit for the pen license exam three times during the year. If successful, they….
