Devils lose two games on spring break outing

Lancaster dropped its first two games of the season, back-to-back, during a spring break outing to Strasburg.

West Virginia-based Moorefield beat Lancaster, 5-2, on Monday, March 30, and host Strasburg defeated the Red Devils, 4-1, on Tuesday, March 31, as LHS moved to 5-2 in varsity baseball. The Devils are scheduled to open Northern Neck District play at home against Colonial Beach on Tuesday, April 14.

Strasburg 4, Lancaster 1

The Devils held a one-run lead after scoring in the top of the first until Strasburg tied the contest at one run each in the bottom of the fifth then scored three runs on two hits, a walk and error in the bottom of the six. The Rams took LHS three-up-three-down in the top of the seventh to claim the win.
