Weems man faces charges following shooting incident

KILMARNOCK—Despite several gunshots through storefront doors, there were no injuries following an incident Thursday, April 16, at the Mobil gas station/convenience store at 608 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

According to Kilmarnock Police Chief Cliff Dawson, Jamonte Malik Norris, 22, of Weems was taken into custody on site without incident at approximately 12:49 p.m. He allegedly opened fire from within the store, shooting towards the street.
