WHITE STONE—Paul A. Servis, 91, passed away April 21, 2026, at his home on Indian Creek with his daughter Michele and grandsons Leo and Andy by his side in White Stone.

He was born in Trenton, N.J., to the late Bessie Ousbin Servis and Joseph G. Servis Sr. He spent his youth in Hamilton Township, graduated from Hamilton High and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Lloyd Thomas.

While in college he met his future bride, Jessica Posch. They graduated from Trenton State Teachers’ College (now the College of New Jersey) and he earned his master’s in school counseling from Rutgers University.

Jessica and Paul were married 63 years. With their daughters, Michele and Renee, they moved to Silver Spring, Md. Paul was a middle school counselor in Montgomery County, Md., and a member of Sandy Spring Lions Club. He loved to fish, crab, craft wood projects, camp and travel with his family.

Jessica and Paul moved to the Northern Neck and truly enjoyed their retirement and had great times with their grandkids, friends and family. Paul was president of Northern Neck Audubon Society for several years. He and other members improved Hickory Hollow Nature Preserve, built over 1,000 bluebird boxes and maintained trails of boxes at Belle Isle State Park and other nature trails. He carved many wooden birds and made walking sticks and other wooden objects. He was a member of the RAL Art Center.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele; brother, Raymond Servis and his wife Bernadette; sister, Patricia Riker and her husband Collin; former son-in-law, Robert Notto; grandkids, Leo, Andrew and Anita Notto; and extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Jessica; his daughter, Renee; his parents; his brother, Joseph G Servis Jr. and wife Dorothy; and son-in-law Mark Baucom Jr.

A service will be held at Currie Funeral Home at 2 p.m. May 15. A nature walk at Hickory Hollow will be held at 9 a.m. the following day. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck, Kilmarnock.
