A-Ibañez Gallery to host ‘meet the author’ historic fiction series

This fall, artist Alvaro Ibañez and his wife, Denise DeVries, will host local historical fiction writers in a new outdoor event as part of the monthly openings at A-Ibañez Gallery.

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m. September 26 and 27, visitors may see paintings by Alvaro Ibañez at his home and studio at 199 Whittaker Lane, Kilmarnock. The Northumberland County gallery can be seen at other times by appointment.

On Sunday at 3 p.m., meet Ophelia writer Stan Parsons. He will present his new book As The Dust Falls, set in Virginia in the Great Depression. Door prizes will be…
