A proper send off for a great compatriot

KILMARNOCK—Myron “Mike” Edwin Lyman Sr., born May 3, 1931, in Cambridge, N.Y., passed away peacefully at 92 on October 25, 2023. A memorial service for Lyman was held Saturday, November 4, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock.

Lyman was an active member of the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, (Virginia Society SAR), the Virginia Society of the War of 1812 and The Order of Founders and Patriots in America. He was also a member of The Order of Americans of Armorial Ancestry, The Society of Colonial Wars, The Society of Mayflower Descendants, The Society of the Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims, The Society of Descendants of Colonial Clergy and The Sons of Union Veterans.

The service was attended by extended family and friends, members of the various lineage societies to which Lyman belonged and members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and National Society US Daughters of 1812, reported Richard Henry Lee Chapter, Virginia Society SAR president Michael Rhodes.
