Members of Kilmarnock American Legion Post 86 and Unit 86 Auxiliary will distribute poppies from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 25 and 26, at Tri-Star Supermarket, 81 Irvington Road, Kilmarnock.
Unit 86 chairman Heather Robertson asks for support of all shoppers, encouraging them to stop for a moment, get a poppy and wear it with pride.
Poppies were chosen to symbolize the many who died during World War I and immortalized in the poem In Flanders Fields….
