
KILMARNOCK—Agnes L. Lee, 96, of Kilmarnock passed away December 5, 2018.
She is survived by her son, James Lee (Twila) of Harrisonburg; granddaughters, Kelley McLean of Richmond and Katherine Fowlkes of Harrisonburg; six great-grandchildren, Keegan Jett, Caleb Jett, Liam McLean, Harper McLean, Helen Fowlkes and Jacob Fowlkes; and two nephews, Charles Lee (Anita) and Ron Beattie (Cheryl).
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Lee; and her daughter, Donna Lee Gulbranson.
Agnes was a World War II Army veteran and a longtime member of Kilmarnock United Methodist Church. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Lamberth and Dr. Goode and until she retired she was the county school nurse. She also volunteered for the Northern Neck Free Health Clinic and the Kilmarnock Museum and was a member of the American Legion Adams Post #86.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 9, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment followed at Historic Christ Church Burying Ground. Family received friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 8, at the funeral home.
