Essex High, which ended a successful 2021-22 season as a Class 1 state semifinalist, led the All-Region A football honor squad with nine first team selections. The Trojans also captured two of the top three honors with junior wide receiver Kamren Robinson chosen as the offensive player of the year and Todd Jones named the coach of the year.
Junior Malik Holmes of King & Queen is the defensive player of the year.
The Trojans placed five on the offensive first team including Robinson at wide receiver, senior lineman Jamarre Veney, junior running back Dorian Harris, senior quarterback Tre’ Ball and senior kicker Conner Morris.
Essex also placed four on the defensive first team including senior lineman Damondre’ Roane and junior end Amarjae Veney. Harris was chosen as the punt returner and Robinson was named to the team as a linebacker.
Lancaster had one player chosen….
