Michael McNeill, music director at Grace Church, will take his quartet, Allegories, on tour this month, playing in venues from Baltimore to Detroit. The band will start it’s weeklong-run with a concert at at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Grace Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.
“I’m very excited to bring this group to Kilmarnock,” said McNeill, who plays piano and composes for the group. “It shows a part of my musical personality that I get to share in bits and pieces in my playing around the Northern Neck, and I’m also really proud to be playing with these very skilled and creative musicians and to get to share them with the community here.”
Other band members include pedal steel guitarist Susan Alcorn, trumpeter/cornetist Dave Ballou, and percussionist/vibraphonist Shelly Purdy….
