Allison’s Ace celebrates half a century

While many things have changed in the 50 years since Ira and Nancy Allison first opened their hardware store in 1971, one thing has not: the one-on-one attention that customers receive when they walk through the doors of Allison’s Ace Hardware in Lottsburg.

“It’s what sets us apart,” said Nancy Fisher, who has continued to helm the business as owner and general manager since Ira passed away in 1992.

The steady stream of customers walking through the doors these days are greeted by an entirely new store that will take Allison’s into the next half century. What used to be outdoor space has been enclosed, creating an additional 2,500 square feet of….
