WEEMS—Alma Sadler Dunaway of Weems, born July 22, 1922, died on November 20, 2016, at the Walter Reed Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Clara Sadler; brother, Carroll Woodrow Sadler; a great niece, Stephanie Sadler Watson; a great-great nephew, James “Jay” W. Sadler III, and her husband, Tinsley Dunaway.
Mrs. Dunaway is survived by a nephew, James W. Sadler Sr. of Mechanicsville; niece, Nancy Sadler Miller of Irvington; a great nephew, James W. Sadler Jr. (Hyun Sook) of Columbia, S.C. She also is survived by eight great-great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dunaway was a life-long member and taught Sunday School for over 30 years at Claybrook Baptist Church, Weems, where graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Visitation will be prior to this service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
