
Resident navigator and social worker Marylee Anderson celebrated 45 years of service with Lancashire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in July. The skilled care and long-term care nursing home in Kilmarnock was acquired by Virginia Health Services in 1998 and remodeled.
Anderson says she can recount any number of resident stories that have stayed with her over the years.
“I love the residents and the people that I have met. I have lots of fond memories in the past 45 years. I have lots of stories—happy stories—I can tell,” she says. “A lot of lasting friendships with family members, residents and staff members that I wouldn’t have had in the last 45 years if I hadn’t come to Lancashire.”
