WHITE STONE—Toleman Andrew “Andy” Pittman III was born June 26, 1964, and went to be with his dad, T.A. Pittman, on July 25, 2020.
His loving mother, Alice Kearney, lives in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Andy spent his whole life in White Stone. His sisters loved him very much. Being the baby in the family made him have four moms because they all took care of him. Terrie Alderks, Sheilah Thrift and Sharon Jones will carry lots of love and wonderful memories of their silly brother.
Growing up in White Stone was a cherished childhood. Andy’s best friends since a boy were Jeff Tyers, David Eppihimer and Franklin Rowe. They are still best of friends. They were team “Captain Mischief.” His friends are heartbroken.
Our greatest achievements in life are our children. Andy has five beautiful girls. He loves them very much. His oldest, Shawna Pfarr, went to golden pastures with her dad holding hands at the exact same time. May they dance together forever in peace.
Jessica, Krissy, Jessie and Selena Pittman all live locally and will miss their dad every day. He was a great dad.
Zula Dean, mother to Jessie and Selena, has been Andy’s best friend and true companion for 23 years. They had a wonderful, caring relationship.
Family members would love to hear him say one more time, “For goodness sake, Zula, what have you done now.” She would reply, “I know, Andy,” then she would roll her eyes and smile.
Please pray for Zula; she is truly heartbroken. No one has ever loved him more than she has.
Andy was a great waterman. He could see a soft crab 10 feet away when everyone else just saw water and mud. He was taught everything he knew about being a commercial waterman from his dad, T.A., and his uncle, Dootsie Wesley Walker.
No arrangements have been made for services. The family will let his friends know as soon as we do. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. But most of all, we love the stories and memories you share with us. Please hug your friends and children while you can.
