DITCHLEY—Mark Angelo Scott of Ditchley died Tuesday, July 21.
Mark was born January 23, 1957, at the A.B. Gravatt Medical Center in Kilmarnock to Estelle Nutt Scott and the late James Scott.
Mark was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He graduated from Northumberland High School in 1975.
On October 13, 1975, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as an electrical and mechanical equipment operator. After 10 years of service, he was medically retired on August 26, 1985.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, James Scott; brother, Odell “Scottie” Scott; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Ford Scott; mother, Estelle Scott; son, Marcus Scott; grandsons, Mateo Carter-Smith and Caiden Scott; granddaughter, Kierra Ford; stepson, Kevin Ford; and sister, Wanda Scott Donahoo.
A viewing was held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Campbell Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. A graveside service was held at noon Saturday, July 25, at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Heathsville.
