KILMARNOCK—Anita P. Sheppard, 61, of White Stone passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on May 21, 2025. She was born in Lancaster County to her father, Woodson Parks Jr., and her mother, Annie E. Hinson Parks.
Anita met the love of her life Ronald “Ronnie” Sheppard in White Stone. Together in their 40 years of marriage, they raised three children. Anita was preceded in death by her father, Woodson Parks Jr.; her mother, Annie Hinson Parks; and her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” W. Sheppard Sr.
Anita is survived by her children, Ronald “Ron” Sheppard Jr. (Cameron) of White Stone, Anita Lynn Sheppard (Savari) of White Stone and Joseph “JoJo” Sheppard (Haley) of White Stone; grandchildren, Will, Phoebe Sheppard and their mother, Samantha Sheppard and Ka’lia Reed. Also surviving Anita are her siblings, Rose Monday (Kenny) of Chesterfield, Linda Gaskins Luckum (Maurice) of Irvington and Adam Parks of White Stone; and her furry friends, Minnie Moo, Lucky Lucy and Lily Mae. She was also survived by her special friends, Anna Akers, Paulette Campbell and Ruth Cawood.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
