April 20 Heathsville Farmers Market may be its biggest eve

with nearly 80 vendors in attendance, making it the biggest ever. Sponsored by Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RHHT), the market offers fresh Northern Neck produce, meats, flowers, nursery plants, gourmet peanuts, baked goods, honey, eggs and handcrafts.

Vendors for the season will include Franco Farm, Pleasant Park Farm, NNK Village Farm, Lakeview Apiary, Whitley’s Peanuts, Two Bees Lavender Farm, La Baguette French baked goods, Reedville Coffee and Oyster Gardening, reported executive director Corinne Becker. Among the crafts for sale will be handmade soap, jewelry, knitted and crocheted items, hand sewn and quilted items, alpaca products, woodworking, candles and birdhouses.

The market also will feature an Earth Day celebration sponsored by the Northumberland Association for Progressive Stewardship, said Becker. The event will celebrate nature with activities and exhibits for….
