A-Ibañez Museum and Gallery (AIM), 199 Whittaker Lane, Kilmarnock, will hold an open house at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20.
The community is invited to meet 2024 resident artist Sydney Jackson, a movement artist from Maryland. She will talk about her time in residence at AIM. Gallery tours with artist Alvaro Ibañez will begin after the talk.
“For over a decade, Sydney Jackson has been collaborating primarily with southwestern and northwestern dwellers, within and outside of academic institutions,” said residency coordinator Delia Ibañez. “Jackson is a transition support person, a movement artist and a practitioner of various healing arts.
