Archaeologist to discuss recent excavations in Jamestown Church

Archaeologist Mary Anna Hartley will open Historic Christ Church & Museum’s 2019 Sunday Speaker Series at 2 p.m. March 24 with “New Discoveries Inside Jamestown Church.”

A senior staff archaeologist at Jamestown Rediscovery, Hartley leads excavations at the 1617 Jamestown church, which in 1619 would host the first meeting of the first legislative assembly in English North America, reported HCC&M director of programs and communications Robert Teagle.
