Are you ready to vote?

Do you know what you need to do before you vote? Many do and many do not.  First and foremost, you need to be registered with updated information. 

With many Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles offices closed—or open by appointment only—all over our state, many are opting to visit the Virginia Department of Elections website: www.elections.virginia.gov. Another online option to register or update your registration is the Lancaster County website: www.lancova.com. You can also come to our county voter office and register or update your registration in person; however, we are temporarily closed to the public for renovations.

If you are not sure if you are registered or if your registration information is up to date, you can visit either of the above websites and simply enter your information to find out.
