Art+ students visit community theater

Members of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck recently visited The Lancaster Playhouse in White Stone and had an introduction to the theater complete with a backstage tour, costumes and makeup. This field trip was part of the ongoing ART+ program led by Ann Vaden.

“We have been focused on Faith Ringgold and her story quilts this month, and this was a great way to show how artists can tell a story in many ways, from painting to fabric art to acting,” said Vaden. “I was delighted that The Lancaster Players were willing to open their theater for the kids and put together such a fun and interesting program.”
