FREDERICKSBURG—Arthur L. Wiggins died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
Arthur was born in Lancaster County on August 11, 1955, to the late Lucious W. Wiggins and Annie Mae Rice Wiggins.
Arthur was educated in Northumberland County Public Schools. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Heathsville.
He was employed as a grounds keeper with Tides Golf Lodge in Weems and later he moved to Fredericksburg, where he was employed and retired as ground supervisor of University of Mary Washington.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Stanley O. Wiggins and William L. Wiggins.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 46 years, Deloris S. Reed Wiggins; his son, Arthur D. Wiggins; his daughter, Sherrona D. Wiggins; grandchildren, Briyana Wiggins, William Wiggins, Adriyana Rodgers and Ashley Fortune; and three great-grandchildren, Malekyi, Madyson and Makynli..
A funeral was held Monday, June 26, at Morning Star Baptist Church, Heathsville. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
