His boat, a Kenner Skipjack, the Wild Goose was well known on the bay where he sailed and taught generations of sailors. He was active in the Turkey Shoot Regatta for many years, and he was a member of Yankee Point and Rappahannock River yacht clubs. His hand-crafted furniture pieces are treasured by family and his love of sailing continues through his children and grandchildren.
