The fifth annual Arts in the Middle Juried Fine Arts Festival (AIM) will be held June 1-2 at Hewick Plantation, 5379 Old Virginia, Street, Urbanna. The festival will offer visual, performing and culinary arts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Highlights this year include the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts traveling museum and art studio, “VMFA on the Road.” The exhibition How Far Can Creativity Take You: VMFA Fellowship Artists, will feature works by 11 artists. The artmobile allows visitors to experience works of art from the VMFA collection up close, reported event coordinator Celane Roden. The festival, including the VMFA gallery is free to the public.
