The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) and Lancaster Community Library (LCL) will host a free presentation by historian and author Jim Bish, “The Role of George Washington’s Ball Family Relatives in Telling the Stories of His Life,” on June 13.
The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. at LCL, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock. Reservations are required; call LVHS at 462-7280 or register at www.lancastervahistory.org. The program also will be live streamed and recorded.
Bish will discuss findings from his recently published book, I Can’t Tell A Lie: Parson Weems and the Truth about George Washington’s Cherry Tree, Prayer at Valley Forge, and Other Anecdotes.
