Ballots shape up for town elections as more candidates file

LANCASTER—As of the Tuesday, June 21, filing deadline, the November 8 ballots for Irvington, Kilmarnock and White Stone will have at least one candidate for each of the seats up for election, according to Lancaster County deputy registrar Kelsey Zentmyer.

For Irvington, three council seats are due election and a special election will be held to fill a fourth. Candidates for the three seats due election are Phil Robinson, Ruth Fuller, Jackie Brown and Wayne Nunnally. Gabe del Rio and Bonnie Schaschek filed for the special election seat.         

For Kilmarnock, the mayor’s post and three council seats are due election. A special election will be held for a fourth council seat.

Shawn Donahue is the only candidate to throw his name in the ring for mayor. Candidates for the three seats due election are Les Spivey, Curtis Smith, Chris Harris and Rebecca Nunn. Thomas Watson is unopposed in the special election.

For White Stone, the mayor’s post and four council seats are due election.

William B. Hubbard is the only candidate to file for mayor. Candidates for the four council seats are Ran Reeves, Irving Brittingham, James “Jimmy” Smith and Charles Brocklebank.
