The Best of the Rivah 2019 winners have been tallied and the results are included in the July issue of The Rivah Visitor’s Guide.
The fourth annual readers’ survey had 38 categories with over 1,000 reader-submitted ballots this year, according to publications coordinator Susan Simmons.
“Each year our contest has steadily gained interest,” said Simmons. “We are thrilled that we had a record number of voters submit ballots this year.”
Past reader favorites Virginia Street Cafe and Something Different, both in Urbanna, Crazy Crab in Reedville and Terrie’s Place in Kilmarnock were again recognized for their good eats, while new restaurants like Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill in Mathews garnered several awards.
