KING GEORGE—Betty Reynolds Broughton, 90, of King George County died Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the home of her loving daughter Linda Clare.
Born December 26, 1930, in Lancaster, she was the oldest child of Ford and Cora Reynolds. She is also survived by a daughter, Linda Clare (Sue); her stepdaughter, Candice Waris and her children Jennifer Taylor (Randy), Tiffany Devening and Krystal Devening; stepson, David Broughton and his children Nikki Broughton and Jacqui Broughton; six great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; and sister, Jane McDaniel (Lawrence) of King George.
Betty was blessed to have three special caregivers: Meaghan Stanley, T. Shaw and Lisa Mann.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Perry Broughton; sister, Janice R. McDaniel; and brothers, Wayne, Luther, Julian, and Robert Lewis.
She graduated from King George High School. Betty made a career at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, where she worked for 20-plus years. Betty worked for W. F. Booth and Son in Kilmarnock.
She was a life member of Hanover Baptist Church. Betty was also a member of the Eastern Star of Colonial Beach.
