COLONIAL BEACH—Bishop Verdeen D. Dudley died Friday, January 12, 2018.
She was born March 18, 1946, to the late Charles St. Gearldine Johnson of Westmoreland County.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Louis Dudley; daughters, Anne Burnett, Alberta Newman, Melissa Brown, Kellie Strickland, Sarah Brooke and Cheryl Dudley; sons, William Watts, Kim Watts and DeVon Dudley; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gwendolyn Johnson and Christine Morton; and brothers, Charles Johnson Sr. and Clifford Johnson.
A funeral was held January 17 at First Baptist Church, Colonial Beach. Interment followed at Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
