Bloomin’ Art exhibit to continue through April

In spite of April showers, the sun is shining on flowers in the Bloomin’ Art exhibit at the RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

Two judges had the task of picking the best flowers represented by paintings, mosaic, fused glass, fiber art, punch needle, mixed media and photography, reported exhibit coordinator Mary Ellis. Jane Denton, a member of the Kilmarnock Garden Club and Master Flower Show Judge, and Cathie Elliott, a member of the Rappahannock Garden Club and an accredited judge, together judged the exhibit on April 1.

They commented that the talent, creativity, and quality of this show was outstanding, and that every piece was a winner in some way, said Ellis.
