The Northern Neck Sail and Power Squadron will offer a boat handling course from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, beginning September 14 and continuing eight weeks, at the NNSPS Classroom, 453C North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
Topics will include navigation rules, slow-speed maneuvering, handling your boat underway, anchoring with assurance, preparing for common problems and knots and line handling, reported public relations coordinator Keith Kidd. There is a closed-book exam at the end of the course.
