Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital breaks ground on major construction project

Margaret Ransone, RGH vice president and administrator Alan Bailey, Virginia Department of Health Three Rivers Health District director Dr. Richard Williams, Bon Secours Richmond System Board member and The Campaign for RGH honor co-chairman Sissy Crowther and Bon Secours Richmond chief operating officer Chris Accashian.

Administrators, board members and hospital directors gathered Thursday, April 15, for a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony on a $15 million renovation and expansion project at Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock.

The expansion, under contract with W.M. Jordan Company of Newport News, will result in a drastic overhaul to the emergency department. The renovations will include the transition from the existing eight bed semi-private unit to a 10 bed unit with totally private rooms.
