Boys & Girls Club has new home, director for Northumberland Unit

Northumberland Unit program director Richie Carter welcomes all youth ages 6-18 to 740 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Burgess.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) recently secured a new location for its Northumberland Unit at 740 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Burgess.

The new site is anticipated to welcome youth this month—March 21, just in time for spring break.

For the past two years, the Northumberland unit was housed within First Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church in Heathsville.

“We are incredibly thankful for our partnerships with Macedonia and First Baptist,” said executive director Philip Mumford. “Our successes in Northumberland would not have been possible without them. They have positioned us for growth and this new larger space will allow that. We are excited….
