Four members of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck will be featured at the Reach for the Stars event Thursday, October 17. Preparing for the event has been an exercise in learning about the fine points involved in performance art.
Two of these performers, Nimiyah Williams and Alexis Franklin are ninth graders and honor roll students at Lancaster High School (LHS), reported publications coordinator Tina Hagen. Williams will sing “Titanium” by David Guetta and Franklin will dance to the music. Both have been rehearsing since July and have benefited from the coaching of Maureen Henighan Booker, professional actor, singer, dancer and choreographer who will serve as keynote speaker at the event.
