KILMARNOCK— A public hearing on the 2018-19 Lancaster school budget will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the LCPS Annex at 235 School Street, Kilmarnock.
At the February 13 school board meeting, superintendent Steve Parker presented a proposed total budget of $16,556,875. The draft represents an increase of $237,718 over the current total budget.
As drafted, general fund expenditures would total $15,889,110, showing an increase of $252,825. Estimated expenditures are $11,558,093 for instruction, up $98,798; $289,207 for attendance and health, down $23,013; $641,743 for administration, up $54,905; $1,215,734 for pupil transportation, up $67,141; $1,652,029 for maintenance, up $101,996; and $532,304 for technology, down $47,003.
Estimated expenditures for debt service and community services have not yet been determined…
