CALLAO—The Callao Hometown Community Association (CHCA) recently announced a generous donation of land from the Burgess Family for development of a park for Callao residents and the larger Northumberland County community.
The parcel of approximately 2.5 acres is behind the ABC store and Primis Bank with access to Northumberland Highway.
“Once we have completed a new survey and appraisal of the land, we will be donating it to CHCA,” said Bobby Burgess, a lifelong resident of Callao and the vice president of CHCA.
