Callao Hometown Community Association receives citizen input for activities, fundraising

CALLAO—President Lisa Deitz and vice president Bob Burgess presented an update on the design of a new park in Callao during the Callao Hometown Community Association (CHCA) annual meeting Wednesday, October 25, at the Callao Firehouse. 

The park design was prepared under contract by Hill Studios. Using a large display, Deitz and Burgess identified key features including an accessible playground for children, walking trail, picnic areas, game area, covered pavilion, amphitheater for concerts and outdoor entertainment, and a gathering place for farmers markets and other events.

“The CHCA board has named it the ‘Hometown Community Park’ to reflect the hometown nature of the entire county, and it has been designed to accommodate all ages and all levels of abilities….
