STAUNTON—The Virginia Rural Leadership Institute (VRLI), the Commonwealth’s first leadership program focused on developing and retaining leaders in rural communities, will hold graduation ceremonies for the first cohort from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4, at Hotel 24 South in Staunton.
The 2023 cohorts include Bay Consortium Workforce Development Board executive director Jackie Davis of Farnham and Richmond County Department of Social Services director Vanesa Livingstone of Warsaw.
Honored guests participating in the graduation include the Honorable Matthew Lohr Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry, the Honorable Emmett Hanger Virginia Senate, the Honorable Chris Runion Virginia House of Delegates and Kristie Proctor Director of the Virginia Rural Center.The 28 cohort members have completed the Virginia Rural Leadership Institute which has included four, three-day sessions….
