CAMP celebrates first anniversary

Irvington’s innovative and cultivated gathering place, music venue and upscale provisional destination, CAMP, is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month.

Business partners Anthony Marchetti, Craig Dodson and Mike Hanky began conceptualizing CAMP in the wake of the pandemic after an obvious demand of outdoor venues and activity was still present.

CAMP Irvington logoThe location, the open space behind the vineyard in town, was also available and made for a resource that had ample opportunity for a project like CAMP at 170 White Fences Drive, Irvington.

“We wanted to preserve and elevate a resource that was already here. We saw the momentum that was happening in Irvington and wanted to keep that going,” said Dodson.

He said the concept of CAMP is an ode to the 60s and 70s and the idea of slowing down and enjoying the outdoors.

“Less tech and more analog,” Dodson said.

While not necessarily a restaurant, CAMP offers a variety of provisions to snack on. When guests arrive, they are invited to walk through the “commissary” where they can craft their own charcuterie boards and fill up on….
