Capital plan, radio upgrades discussed; board approves CARES Act expenditures

HEATHSVILLE—Northumberland County administrator Luttrell Tadlock shared plans for developing a five-year capital improvement plan, the county’s first, during the November 12 meeting of county supervisors.

To review proposed capital improvements, a subcommittee of the planning commission will be created. Members would include the commission chairman, four members of the commission including the board of supervisors’ representative, the county administrator and the county planner.

An application procedure is being developed for each department to request capital improvements, along with scoring criteria, Tadlock said.
