REEDVILLE—Carol McAnally Haynie, 85, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born in Richmond on May 8, 1937, the only child of Eugene Debs McAnally and Eloise Bishop McAnally.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband of more than 54 years, Franklyn Hiram Haynie.
She is survived by her son, Stacy Franklyn Haynie (Kelly), granddaughter, Rachel Blair Haynie, and grandson, Luke Mason Haynie, all of Warsaw.
While living in Richmond, she worked in the accounting department of Virginia Power, now Dominion Energy. After moving to Reedville, she was a dedicated homemaker taking care of her husband and son.
Her interests included playing bridge, crocheting, needle point and painting ceramics. She enjoyed boating and fishing. She loved all animals, especially cats. She was a dedicated New York Yankees fan, and a New England Patriots fan. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 6, at Roseland Cemetery in Reedville with Rev. Danny Maupin officiating.
