LANCASTER—The Lancaster board of supervisors on September 26 approved a special exception request by Cellco Partnership (doing business as Verizon Wireless) which will allow them to erect a 199-foot wireless telecommunications tower at 376 Indiantown Road in Weems.
Recommending the special exception request be approved, director of planning and land use Brian Barnes said the applicants had “addressed each question that the telecommunication ordinance required,” and added that while some adjacent property owners had called or walked in, no one had objected “and a couple already wished it was there.”
