Novelist Connie Lapallo will present “Forgotten Heroines: Virginia’s First Women and Children” at 2 p.m. October 13 at Historic Christ Church & Museum (HCC&M), 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.
A resident of Mechanicsville, Lapallo is the author of the Jamestown Sky Series, a historical fiction trilogy based on the true story of Joan Peirce and the women and children who ventured to early Virginia. The novels cover Peirce’s life in England and Virginia from 1592 to 1652, reported HCC&M director of programs and communications Robert Teagle.
