Chamber recognition

The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce on February 10 recognized Jeff Szyperski (left) as its Business Person of the Year 2017 and Justin Burke as its Volunteer of the Year 2017. Szyperski is the chief executive officer and chairman of Chesapeake Financial Shares and chief executive officer of Chesapeake Bank. Burke is involved in the family businesses, Burkes Fine Jewelers in Kilmarnock, and The Fin & Pearl in Urbanna, as well as popular bands James Justin & Co. and Pretty Heavy. They were honored during the Chamber’s annual meeting and dinner at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club.
